"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus."
(Phil. 2:5)

The Almaya Fellowship is an organization that unselfishly works to fulfill the mission of - "Understanding the purpose of Christian Church in the world".

From the very beginning of the church, the fathers held community meetings and other activities. This has often been hampered by a lack of leadership in later years. In the year 1988, Cherry John Achen has begun Omathakuzhy Community Meeting. In the year 1997,Sabu K Cherian Achen has begun western part Community Meeting. These meetings were not able to cover all the houses in the Church, especially the houses that are located in the distance. As a solution to this, a small group of believers decided to go to all the houses in the Church and spend time for community meetings.Later, the Church's Almaya Fellowship was formed.

Almaya Fellowship was formed on February 7, 2001 under the leadership of the then Vicar of the parish, George Cherian Achen.Very Rev. K.T Thomas Achen,Sasthamkoikkal, who retired from missionary work in Africa at that time served as the Working President of this Fellowship for four years.Achen's work ethic and passion for service had always inspired the Fellowship.Accidental separation of Achen still haunts us.

The work of the Almaya Fellowship is very helpful for the spiritual and material growth of the Church. This organization is committed to working for the Lord by courageously accepting the challenges of the Christian life, to inspire many, to bring back those who are in despair, to bring relief to the sick and desperate, to help the needy and to strengthen fellowship with God and man.

Almaya Fellowship meeting is being held every friday at various homes in the church. Also on monday and thursday, Almaya Fellowship area meetings are held in various areas led by Almaya Fellowship. Gospel meditation meetings, Fasting meetings, Intercessory Prayer,Chain of Prayer,Parish Mission,Home Visit are arranged. There is an Almaya Assistance Scheme to help those in financial difficulties, assist children in studies and help those who need medical treatment. For seven years Fellowship has published beautiful song books called Christian Fellowship Songs.Fellowship has also been able to visit sub-parishes and conduct meditation meetings. The Almaya Music Team works for meetings.Five area conventions are held each year, covering ten parts of the Church.Mission tour was conducted under the auspices of the Almaya Fellowship. Fellowship has been able to conduct evangelistic public meetings with other Churches.

These activities, which are carried out in association with the Church, have been fully supported by the Parisioners and Committee members who have served in the respective periods. Most Church members are Almaya message subscribers. Our unit actively participates in district and Diocesan events. The Almaya leadership of Diocese often participates in the activities of our parish and promotes the activities.

The generous services of Sir V.O Abraham, Vayalikkollattu and his family cannot be forgotten.

On the occassion of the centenary, Almaya Fellowship published a beautiful anthology of 549 songs called Christian Fellowship Songs.Study assistance was provided to 25 children under the leadership of Almaya Organization.Financial assistance was provided to many others.Almaya Fellowship members visited all the houses in the church in a month.

Times pass quickly.Generations are hidden within the veil. The promise that the Son of God, who appeared at the fullness of time as the light of the world and the light of the church, will soon return, still strengthens the life of faith.May we understand the purpose and aim of our life journey, which is short-lived, and may we be able to work on receiving more spiritual graces with the thought that we will be accountable for the talents the Lord has entrusted to us without losing our sense of direction.May God Almighty lead it.
